Since Looksgood embraces the art of alchemy in its collections, let’s talk about alchemy in practice.
We know that we are mirrors of nature, and nature itself is the most beautiful example of perfection in existence. Everything it creates flows with beauty and harmony, It doesn’t bear fruit to compete with another tree it simply expresses its essence.
In the kybalion book mentions the Law of Correspondence, which states: As within, so without; as without, so within. This means that the elements present in nature also exist within us.
Look to the heavens, and you’ll see the cosmic dance of the planets. It might be hard to believe, but just as the moon’s phases influence the tides full moons pulling the water to rise and new moons letting it recede every planet in our solar system also influences the elements within us and around us. The closer they are to Earth, the more deeply we feel their effects.
The ancients observed this long before explorers sailed across oceans to discover new lands. In fact, their maps were drawn by astrologers and those fascinated by the wisdom of the stars. For centuries, the Sun and Moon were seen as gods and honestly, can we disagree? Without the Sun, our source of light and inspiration, life wouldn’t exist.
In astrology, the Sun represents our essence, life, force, and personality, while the Moon rules our emotions, instincts, and unconscious mind. Our emotions are like compasses guiding us through life’s journey.
We can think of the dance of the planets as the alchemy of life no one controls it, it simply happens, shaping and reacting within each of us in a unique way. That’s why a good alchemist is always present in body, soul, and spirit.
Imagine Venus, the planet of love, art, and beauty, aligning opposite Jupiter, the planet of growth, opportunity, and justice. This energy doesn’t just move through the universe it reflects within us, stirring creation, expansion, and desire. And like any true alchemist, we can’t let such potent energy go to waste. It’s a time to create, manifest, and transform.
Anyone can be an alchemist. In fact, we’re all born with a map, like a personal code to help us navigate life, and we’re given tools like emotions to guide us. Each of us is here to live uniquely and meaningfully, shaping the world just as the stars shape the sky.
So, let’s honor this alchemy of life, embracing the rhythms of nature and the cosmos, and remembering that we, too, are part of this eternal dance of transformation.
